A Retro A-Frame within walking distance of Heceta Beach - Anchor's A-Way

Just 600 square feet, this darling gem has been a beloved family retreat since 1976, now lovingly passed to the next generation. It’s a place where stories linger in the woodgrain and laughter echoes from summers past.

Downstairs, the living room, dining area, kitchen, and bathroom nestle together in cozy harmony. Two built-in twin beds double as sofas—perfect for curling up with a book 📚 or sneaking in a seaside nap. A pair of rattan swivel rockers and a 40-inch streaming TV on a rolling cart add a touch of retro comfort 🎬.

Up the ladder-style stairway, the loft awaits with a queen bed tucked beneath the A-frame’s peak—a hideaway for dreamers and stargazers ✨. Though close to the beach, Anchors A-Way enjoys a wind-sheltered perch, making the deck a delightful spot for morning coffee ☕, afternoon sunbathing, or evening chats under the stars. The outdoor space mirrors the indoor charm, complete with a picnic table for al fresco dining 🍽️.

This home is a love letter to the quirky beauty of A-frames, a style slowly vanishing from Florence and the West Coast. Since taking on Anchors A-Way, we’ve refreshed its spirit—new windows, siding, deck rail benches, and appliances. In fall 2023, the exterior deck was lovingly rebuilt, ready for new memories to be made.

Just a short stroll to Jerry’s Place for burgers and brews 🍔🍻, or a quick drive to Historic Old Town Florence for gift shops, antiques, art galleries, wine bars, and seafood feasts 🦀. Nearby lakes, sand dunes, and state parks offer endless adventure and natural beauty.
