
Most of our homes are in highly restricted areas therefore all policies must be strictly adhered to. We do not make exceptions to our policies.
Reservations:
All reservations must be made by an adult age 25 or over with a valid credit card
Reservations made under a false pretense will be subject to eviction and forfeiture of all payments.
All reservations are subject to State Transient lodging taxes 1%
Payment:
A pre-payment of half down is required for all reservations.
We currently accept Visa, MasterCard & Check for pre-payments.
All balances are due 7 days prior to Arrival.
There will be a $25 fee for all returned checks.
Cancellations/Refunds:
Reservation cancelled less than 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date will forfeit the pre-payment deposit. Reservations cancelled more than 30 days from the scheduled arrival date are subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
Refunds will not be given for early departures
We reserve the right to make a substitute accommodation for you if circumstances demand. In these very rare circumstances you will be given the opportunity to cancel with no penalty should the new accommodations not be acceptable. Once notified, and you have agreed to the substitute accommodations, the normal cancellation policy will apply.
Refunds or rate adjustments will not be given for unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather or mechanical failure.
Check In:
Homes will be available at 2PM for check in.
Cleaning & Maintenance crews are working very hard to make sure the home is ready for occupancy. Please do not arrive at the home before 2PM.
Upon arrival at the home please make a through inspection and report any damages to our office within 24 hours.
Occupancy:
Most of our homes are in highly restricted areas. As a result Whales Watch Vacation Rentals must enforce the following guidelines.
Violation of any federal laws, state laws, county laws, local laws, company policies, or house rules are grounds for immediate eviction without refund.
The total number of persons allowed in the property at any time is restricted to the stated limit for each property. Eviction without refund and a $25.00 penalty per person per night over the stated limit will apply.
The total number of vehicles allowed to be parked at the property at any time is restricted to the stated limit for each property. Eviction without refund is the penalty.
Our homes do not have adequate off street parking, vehicle limits are predetermined and are not negotiable.
Absolutely No Motor Homes, Campers, Travel Trailers, or Tents are allowed at any of our homes.
Absolutely no student groups or house parties will be tolerated
Please be respectful of your neighbors.
Quiet time is between 9PM and 9AM. If we receive complaints you will be contacted and asked to be quiet. If we receive more than one complaint during your stay you will be evicted without refund.
Only local and toll-free calls can be made from our homes. Please bring your own calling card for long distance calls.
All of our homes have linens provided.
We supply games and activities for our guests, however some games have small pieces or parts and are not suitable for young children, i.e. toddlers and infants, who may put things in their mouths. Do not allow young children to play unsupervised with games.
Septic System: Please remember that anything that goes down the drain goes right into the ground and is absorbed by the environment. DO NOT USE LIQUID PLUMBER OR THESE TYPES OF PRODUCTS. These products stay in the sewer system and pollute the ground beneath the home. Please do not rinse off sandy items inside, or flush anything that hasn't been eaten first.
Pets:
Whales Watch Vacation Rentals only allows dogs as pets. Please be respectful of the next guest, clean up after your dog. Cats are never to be allowed into any of our vacation rentals. If we find evidence of any animals in a non-pet friendly home you will be billed a minimum of $500.00 to sanitize and restore the property to its original condition. We have several homeowners who have allergies to animals therefore our policy is not negotiable in reference to non-pet friendly homes. We may charge more depending on the extent of the damage and repairs needing to be done. There are NO exceptions to this, please do not ask.
Check Out:
Check Out time is promptly at Noon - Late Checkouts are not permitted.
Cleaning & Maintenance crews are working very hard to make sure the home is ready for the next guest. Please be respectful of this time, as cleaning crews are required to follow strict schedules.
If you are still in the home when cleaning crews arrive you will be billed for the time that they have to wait for your departure at a rate of $50 per hour with a one hour minimum.
Lost keys will be billed at $10 each.
Please leave the home neat and orderly
Upon departure please be sure that the following have been completed
Please wash all dirty dishes or Load and run Dishwasher
Remove all food from the refrigerator
Put all garbage in bags and place in the provided trash cans
Set all thermostats to 55 degrees
Close and Lock all windows and doors
Remember to clean up after your pets
Cleaning:
Cleaning fee's vary by property and are for sanitation, linens, and general cleaning only. Please leave the home neat and orderly to avoid additional charges.
If the cleaning crew finds that the home has been left excessively dirty you will be billed for the additional cleaning time at a rate of $50 per hour.
Damages:
You are responsible for any and all damages that occur to the property or it's contents by you or any other member of your group while you are the registered occupant of the property. In lieu of a security deposit we will keep your credit card on file as a security deposit. If we discover that there has been damage to the property or it's contents while you are the occupant we will capture an amount from your credit card to cover the estimated cost of repairs. The amount we capture will be an estimate and will probably be more than the actual cost of repairs. We will provide a statement of the damages and the cost of the repairs after they have been completed. If there is a refund due it will be returned to the credit card after all repairs have been made.
Lost and Found
Whales Watch Vacation Rentals is not responsible for items left in the property.
Unclaimed items found in the property will be held for 30 days only.
If you request that we return an item left in a property we will ship it to you COD. There is a $10 fee in addition to shipping costs for all items shipped back to you.
We cannot guarantee a timely return of items left behind.
Smoking:
There is absolutely no smoking in our homes. If the cleaning company detects any evidence of smoking in the homes not specifically listed as a smoking home you will be billed an additional $200 to deodorize the home.
Emergencies:
There is an agent on-call 24 hours a day for emergencies. Non-emergencies will be noted and handled the following business day. In the case of an emergency there are emergency contact numbers posted in the home.
Remember - if you are having a fire, medical or police emergency please call 911 first.
Representatives of management or owners may enter the premises at any reasonable time to make repairs. Management will not be held responsible for acts of theft or vandalism or other damages to the guest personal items left in the unit. Neither management, nor the owner is responsible for personal items left on the premises by guests upon departure.
Units may not be sublet.
The renter/renters named in this agreement will be responsible for themselves and all guests whether they are registered in the rental unit or not.
The renter acknowledges that Whales Watch Vacation Rentals, property owners, and employees can not be held responsible regardless of fault, for any accident, loss, damage or injury suffered by the renter, members of their party or any other guests which the renter or their party have allowed access to the property, regardless if said loss is a result directly or indirectly from acts of god, danger incident to the sea, any body of water, fire, breakdown of machinery, equipment, acts of government or other authorities, delays or cancellations of or changes in itineraries or schedule or from acts of omission of any airline.
Furthermore, the renter will release and hold harmless any and all parties involved with the rental, management and reservations of the property and to release and hold harmless it's owners or representatives for any loss or damage to personal property or for any injury and/or death.
My signature below signifies that I have read and understand all of the policies and procedures set forth above. Furthermore I agree that any and all members of my party are also bound by and agree to abide by the policies and procedures set forth above.
