Discover Hawkeye's Hideout, a wetland preserve. This stunning 3 acre property offers you a whole new coastal perspective. Nestled atop a hill just 2 blocks from the beach, you'll find a different world and a different climate where you can explore the coastal wetlands, and forest-land protected sand dunes. Venture down Hawkeye’s forest trail, and you’ll find a private, wind protected dock overlooking a seasonal pond. You can still hear the surf, you just can't see it. Instead you get an intra-coastal view of windswept pines,towering Sitka Spruce, wild rhododendrons, giant ferns and other coastal flora and fauna

The 2002 manufactured home has an open floor plan with 2 bedrooms, 1 full-bathroom, and full laundry facilities. The kitchen, living and dining rooms are all one large room. The house has a west facing front deck and a south facing covered deck off the kitchen for barbequing ease. The master bedroom has a queen size bed with a wooded view and a 19 inch TV. The second bedroom has a queen size sofa sleeper. The bathroom is spacious and has a shower/tub combo.

The living, kitchen, and dining area are all one large room, with laminate floors, all with light airy views. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, glass topped range, built in microwave and a self defrosting refrigerator. A computer desk next to the sliding glass door allows you to set up your laptop and to enjoy the view from the deck while accessing free Wi-Fi.

Hawkeyes Hideout is named for the owners Cairn terrier known as "Hawkeye Buffalo Dog". This dog- friendly rental is just a 5 minute walk to the beach and Hawkeye just loves to share his own private trails, paths and scenery with you.

Enjoy elegant fine dining with an ocean view at the Driftwood Shores resort just 3 blocks from the house, or enjoy Burgers & Brew at Jerry's Place, just a few blocks away. Hawkeyes Hideout is just 3 blocks from the Joshua Dunes (BLM land that offers ATV'ing) which mostly is only used by our secluded neighborhood.

This house has a different rate schedule than our other houses - as the homeowners live quite close and like to use their house on weekends. However if you're willing to stay for 3 days you can have their weekend :-) In the spirit of that if you want to stay 4 nights Mid-Week- Monday-Thursday you'll receive an $80.00 discount.
