The Gray Whale

The Gray Whale is a 576 square foot affordable getaway for two. Nestled among the windswept pines and rhododendrons, you can hear the sound of the surf. Just a short walk and you will be enjoying the surf, sand and the splash of the ocean waves. Spend the day combing the beach for glass floats & sea shells, and wind down your evening with spectacular sunsets of blazing orange and pink, sitting in front of a roaring fire from our cozy fire pit!

This charming manufactured home, tucked into a wind protected neighborhood, is less than 2 blocks from the beach. A cozy hide-a-way which has been updated and well cared for, new carpet, new vinyl windows, new paint and a large wind protected front deck. It features a large bedroom with a King size bed & 19 inchTV. In the living room you'll find a double size hide-a-bed with a 27 inch TV, a large leather lazy boy, and a comfortable rocking chair, plus a faux electric~woodstove adds to the ambiance. The decorations all have a nautical flair, that make this feel like a cozy coastal cottage. The Eat in Kitchen has a table for 4, a large refrigerator, a full sized oven, and separate electric cook top.

Out back there is a fenced dog run for your furry friends. There is parking for two trucks and atv trailers with all of your toys. And the Carport offers one covered space. There is also a marvelous fire pit with wood provided and fantastic landscaped yard, with gorgeous flowers, solar lights and a garden pond.

The Gray Whale is a 2 minute walk from the Ocean. While it doesn't have an ocean view, the rocking chairs on the covered deck beckon you to sit for a moment and enjoy the view of windswept pines and the sounds of the surf.

Enjoy elegant fine dining with an ocean view at the Driftwood Shores resort just a short stroll from the house, or enjoy Burgers & Brew at Jerry's Place, just a few blocks away. The Gray Whale is a short drive from the Historic Old Town Florence gift shops, wine bars, coffee bistros, and fabulous seafood restaurants. Explore some of the best fishing on one of 27 local lakes, or play out on some of the finest sand dunes and state parks that Oregon has to offer. The Gray Whale is just 8 blocks from the Joshua Dunes (BLM land that offers ATV'ing) which mostly is only used by our secluded neighborhood.
